Compassion. Dignity. Second Chances.
The Matthew 25 Project is a community-based initiative committed to serving individuals and families impacted by incarceration, legal struggles, and systemic injustice. Inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 25—“I was in prison and you came to visit me”—we serve people of all backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, or past. Our approach is grounded in empathy, equity, and action—with the belief that no life is beyond restoration and no person should be forgotten.
Founded by Bishop K.E. Phillips Sr., a devoted father, pastor, and community leader, The Matthew 25 Project was born not from personal incarceration, but from years of walking alongside others through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

From the Desk of Bishop KE Phillips, Founder
The Matthew 25 Project was born from a calling — not just mine, but a collective mission to serve those most overlooked in our communities. Though I have never been incarcerated, I’ve long carried a deep burden for those who have faced the justice system, poverty, homelessness, and hopelessness. Inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 25, we are committed to meeting people at their point of need, not judgment.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to restore dignity, provide critical resources, and offer a pathway forward for individuals and families in crisis. Whether it’s helping someone navigate the legal system, secure bond assistance, obtain housing, or access essential life services, the Matthew 25 Project is here to stand in the gap.
This work began as a vision—one deeply rooted in compassion and justice—and has grown into a movement of people and partners who believe change is not only possible, but necessary.
We’re not just a service organization. We are a bridge to better, standing with those who are too often forgotten. And with every life we touch, we fulfill our calling to “do unto the least of these.”
Thank you for believing in this mission. Together, we are transforming lives.
